FF7 best story line in the world man!

Have you played any of the older ones?

Final 2 and 3 american release, great stories, and repeat gameplay.
also 3/6 had an awesome soundtrack (buy the remastered piano version on cd)

My favorite is Terra's Theme. (First heard when Terra wakes up in the bed after removing the slave crown)

Zozo, had a funky beat as well.

I need to know how XII is storyline based. Is it easy to follow? I played the demo, didn't care for it all that much as far as the new battle system, unless the enemies stayed still while I picked my attacks. xD

Can't help you with XII as I haven't played it sorry, but would just like to remark on my shock at how this thread progressed. Usually when the subject of "best FF ___" comes up there's just a big flame war between FFVII fans and VIII fans, with small outbursts from the "retro" gamers. Good to know that (most) of you guys actually appreciate them generally as a series rather than just liking one and hating the rest. On topic, I'd say that of the ones I've played (VI, VII, VIII, IX, X) VIII has the best storyline for me. I don't know how many people have experienced love or how many interpret it the way I do, but the entire subject of love in VIII, and especially in the ending video to Eyes On Me, was portrayed perfectly in my opinion. Strangely though I thought Rinoa didn't seem that strong a character in relation to the others, probably because she was sort of an outsider (not being a SeeD herself or from the orphanage).. but maybe that's just me.

I appreciate your comment. Not many people acknowlege series as a whole. Just "This game is better than this one" Each game has a signifcant difference from the others, I don't care which 2 you compare.
