Play FF1, the NES one not the PS1 ezsauce remake. Granted, you can make it easy by picking 4 fighters as your party, but do it with a more normal team, and try and get to and kill a Warmech on Tiamat's bridge without using save states.

Oldschool 7 & 8 will 100% win such a poll, now and in 10 years. Ever since the CD of 8 I've lost and CD 2 of 7 is in 3 pieces, I have never finished them > ffx for me then... I've played 8 too, but the beginning was too intense imo

i have played ff7,ff8,ff9,ff tactics.i am between ff7 and ff8 but since i replayed ff7 after some years,i vote ff7.

Wow since when are 7 and 8 considerd "oldschool".......? Young people these days... I think I just died a little inside at that comment. Seriously, that's like calling WC3 the "oldschool warcraft"..

-EDIT- nulled vote, biased poll. The true "oldschool" final fantasies have this newer crap beat easy, it's just been all downhill since 9.

Well from those i voted for FF8, as Finals IV-VI aren't here

Final fantasy 7 and 8 are best then 6. All the older final fantasys were boring and not worth the time completing

I'm probally older than both of you, but it was ff8 that a friend introduced me to and was the first final fantasy I played. I'll always say that one was the best. I then started trying the other games and I liked 6 and 7, but I just didn't care too much for the others and the newer ff kinda dissapoint me. I would like to see another game made with the ff8 characters.
