Final Fantsy 7 Or Final Fantasy 8 - Topic

I'd have to go with 7

I like the story of 7 better, and the leveling system is better

while ff8 has the gf system that I like better then the materia system, the leveling up (zomg I r lvl 100 and I didn't even start) doesn't rly suit me, I prefer doing some serious exp grinding.

Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite. Just started playing it again on my Laptop and already 15+ hours into it. I must admit the gameplay is rather easy, but the story is what intrigued me the most. I do like FF7 alot, but FF8 seems to be more appealing to me.

Lol, I dug 8 as my #1 favorite as well, I absolutely loved the junction system, gave you a feel of costumization, until the end where you get like all the best spells for each junction like triple, ultima, etc...
Plus the gunblade made you actually have to pay attention during the battles instead of just mashing X.
Setting gambits even for the control character in ffXII made me fucking facepalm.
