Um I might be totally out of line with this suggestion, but just thought I should mention it because I love the game .

I personally think the start to all RPG games was Ultima Series for Apple. Ultima I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX
Thats what probably changed all the other RPG's
History of Ultima games. Of them all, I only played Ultima IV Quest of the Avatar.

rofl, first of all half the games listed there arent rpgs, secondly megaman is not dead simply because you havent played any new installments. Megamn legends was awesome btw, although it hardly deserves being in that list. There are constantly new megaman installments coming out its just that most of them suck (except for the latest one for the ds with the level editor that you can share online). And finally, for crying out loud next time i see a list of rpgs that changed the world someone better fuckin mention Phantasy Star series and Ultima while were at it (since it was pretty much the first online mmorpg).

This list is really meaningless if you don't have facts that support each decision. And I agree with most other posters as to most of the games aren't rpgs so therefore shouldn't be on the list. Or you should have called the list something else. You can't call it "games that changed the world" because you know full-well that there are easily 20 games more influential than these games.

I added some of the non rpgs becouse they added new elements to gaming. As for the mega man fan, lol you say its not dead? Check the sales! Sure they keep making new games for it but they all bomb, nobody is buying them.

You said Phantasy Star and Ultima? Yeah they pretty much cemented online gaming but...as games themselves they didint show me much. Good point however.

Megaman franchise still made more money than a lot of games listed there. It was a nintendo icon just as much as Mario that just never carried over well to next gen consoles. Which I really don't agree that Mario or sonic carried over well either because any Mario I have played since the 64 has been god awful. They are just marketed to little kids and thats what makes them sell.

If you added the non rpgs to the list and try to say that the list is about games that changed history where's Pong?? Where's Space Invaders or Pac-man? The history of video games was changed long before any of these games were made.
