The only bad thing about ff9 is that the last/strongest bosses have like 40,000 - 50,000 life, meaning 5 hits of 9999 they die.
Other than that is a very good game with best sound track/theme music.

Only people who like no challenge at all would enjoy 9. Took me less than 30 hours on a first run-through and I was like lvl 55 when I beat the last boss. It was so easy that I didn't even realize he was the last boss.

I think you're missing the whole point of the FF series.

9 is pretty great, it's the only one out of the original Playstation series aside from FFT that I felt had a real 'fantasy' feeling to it.

Story is pleasing, albeit a little childish at times. Card game is decent too.
