With new content coming every 3 months (considering they have the next 6 months already set to go) I am sure once some stability comes to the number of people on servers, they will increase the gil intake or even reduce travel/repair expenses. At the same time they have said in smaller interviews that they want to make Gil a non-priority (ie. more material based trade then item 4 gil trading), forcing more person on person interactions. This could backfire on them as so many are to used to the "easy farm" for gold/gil type of gaming, rather then the more tedious selling items for 1-5 gil per item and farming for days for a few hundred thousand. Rumors say that in the next "big" patch they are upping the vendor value on some items making it more feasible for repairs and such. None of this is confirmed.
Love watching the clammer, do you save? do spend? do you do like me and just not give a fuck?.. let the Asian's figure out how to make the gil.. and ill pick it up for a couple of bucks. Seen RMT has already dropped so a mil gil cost nearly the same the game cost, if you know where to look.
