Blunty put, but that sums it up coming from playing the original 1.0, but the end game fights aren't that bad with new people, I'm sure they'll increase harder content.

The sad truth is, because FFXIV 1.23c had so much more depth and mechanics in every possible aspect ranging from dungeons, boss fights, skill mechanics, crafting, gathering, and levelling that it makes FFXIV: ARR look like a baby's game. It really is easy as shit. I'm not trying to sound like an elitist, but A Relic Reborn was pretty darn challenging in 1.23c, and even more so in FFXI. FFXIV's A Relic Reborn took me 2 days to complete. We only struggled on Titan because we have never fought his Hard mode before in ARR. Garuda didn't really change TOO much from 1.23c.

After I obtained Relic, there's really nothing left to do unless I want to repeat the spam for Darklight/Relic for another class. I can go for my Relic +1 I guess. Just more Amdapor Keep spam, what a great game.

So no, I'm not even trying to put it bluntly. I'm just putting it exactly as I have experienced. ARR is an extremely easy and boring game with nearly no content right now. However, since it's already nearly a complete WoW clone, don't expect future content to be any different. It also seems to be taking the FFXI route for Artifact/Relic/Mythic items. You will just be spamming bigger dungeons for more tomestones in the future. Sure, you'll get bigger raids and all that shit, but eh, don't expect the core to be any different. Once GCD was implemented along with the piece of shit WoW clone, the game was done.

If you are looking to play a game with depth and challenge, look elsewhere. FFXIV 1.23c will never be here again and all we have now is a piece of shit just like every other MMO out there. Okay, so the soundtrack and graphics are nice, the game plays more fluid than it did in 1.23c, what else? Nearly all the mechanics that were vital in a "Final Fantasy MMO" were removed, everything became a one-click wonder.

This is NOT because I have nearly completed everything in 1.23c. Even at the very end of 1.23c before the shutdown, I had MANY things left to do. Crafting and gathering were much better before with deep interplay and mechanics. NMs were fun to fight and dungeons were challenging to crawl even for my Japanese linkshell of full Relic veterans. Yes, dungeons were much more in FFXI/FFXIV 1.23c. You had to know exactly what to do to progress between floors, and everyone had to have very good execution. Learning the boss fights were even more fun; I will admit that Titan (Hard) is fairly challenging, but compared to what I've faced in FFXI and FFXIV 1.23c? So easy. Relic takes 2-3 days to complete, looooool.

Yeah I could go on and on about why this game sucks, but I think I said enough. If you like WoW clones or you are a diehard fan of FF/SE, then great for you. The game looks beautiful and sounds great. If you like to be challenged and like having things to do after completing "the hardest challenges" such as A Relic Reborn, you will probably quit in a couple of months. Housing and crafting furniture is nothing new to FF MMOs. I have been doing this in FFXI for many years. 24-man raids? Been there, done it (FFXI Alliance raids). Yep.

If square-enix wanted to appeal to a wider audience including the wow fans, its only inevitable that the game is dumbed down

Yes, I understand that perfectly. They failed 1.0 pretty hard, and there's always the need to make money. Making this into a child's game was necessary to reach sales.

However, understand that FFXI is WAY harder than even FFXIV 1.23c. Yet, FFXI was extremely successful. While I appreciate SE's need to make money, I didn't think it was necessary to turn a very fun and interesting game into something as mind-numbing as ARR.

Oh yeah, if anyone was gonna say I'm just bored because I have everything 50, please don't say that. Levelling right now = spamming FATEs. Good lord. I pitied my friends raising their first jobs through this method. The old ways to level such as EXP Chaining parties was WAYYYYYYY more fun.

To each their own I guess, I already completed the hardest part of the game in just 2 days, gonna play some quality The Bureau :3

Which is why I played the game fresh rather resorting back to my Legacy.

You screwed yourself by playing your legacy.

Not really, SE turned a great game into a shitty game ^^

There were still countless things to do in 1.23c, so was kinda expecting there would at least be somethings left to do. Guess not though. Oh well.

Welcome to the new generation of mmorpg gamers, where people don't want to think/read guides how to play their class or dungeon/raid tactics and want to reach the endgame and obtain the best gears as soon as they can.

i was saying the same stuff before buying the game, ff11 was insane hard and fun...

after level 10 you spam for a invite and go kill some mobs around your level with a party because theres no damn way you can fight a lvl 12 mob with your lvl 10 lol

i'm already getting bored of dungeon/fates, i'm 49 atm and prob going to quit after getting to 50 with another character. the only reason i want to play tank now is because i can que in a dungeon instantly which is the only fun part, like i have a advantage and that's the fun part of it lol

edit: some guy was bitching at me because i said i would enjoy leveling my character for good rare pvp gear, and try out all the chars pvp wise like d2, and this guy just started bitching about comparing d2 to mmo and go to WOW etc...this is a pvm game

well pvm games lead to nothing once you complete it..oh let's "craft" and grind items for our level 50 char so that we can look at it and say kewl...

hell i even have like 230k gil, and thought about selling for fg, but what is fg going to get me? lol
