I'm not really into the game enough to where I'll opt for the most efficient party. Think I'll roll with Yuffie and Nanki and I should be alright.

Yeah no kiddin, those 2 are the worst in game.

I think Yuffie has the second best limit break besides Omnislash, in doom of the living. She's not bad at all. I don't remember stats, but it's not like anyone's stats matter in the vanilla version of the game, so essentially anyone is viable.

yuffie is actually a second cloud in term of stats and she has her own kind of omnislash she cant be bad plus the early limit break you get are very useful ur either trolling or really bad at optimizing a party in an rpg

Ok guys lets hear some opinions as I am still nub at this. What would you say is the best party to move forward with? I have just run over the snake-lake with a chocobo, gone through the cave and come out the other side. My current party is :
Cloud
Barrett
Red

Should I take out Barrett and put in Aeries? lmk!

Everyone is about lvl 17, maybe I should train up to lvl 20 before continuing?

The standard version of the game is easy to a point where your party doesn't really matter, although taking advantage of Aeris early on is never a bad idea given her Healing Wind limit break. I'm anal about dying and shit so I'd maybe level up a bit if you plan on not using her.

I personally would rather leave out Red than Barrett, but you should be fine without Aeris. Leveling up a bit isn't a bad idea though, but the game isn't too hard anyway, but I always found my self being around level 20 soon after the cave part.

Once you get Cid, it's a good idea to let him into your party because he (and Cloud) are the only ones that can get a weapon that gives you triple materia growth. Out of the 4 parties I tried, the one I ended up liking the most was Cloud-Barrett-Cid, but the game is easy enough to beat with whatever characters you like best.

What is this alternate version of ff7 i'd be interested in trying it

There are no alternative versions of the game. But there are plenty of mods of the pc version floating around the net.

Cait Sith - lvl whatever when you meet him


I'm not sure what to do now - I don't know squat about Cait Sith but he seems to heal the team almost every fight lol
