Yea I dont remember anyone saying anything bad about FF6. Its always a recommended play.
FF1 is pretty basic but fun. I've played both the emulated NES version and the GBA version. I didnt care for FF2 though. If you like the job system (like FF5) then you'll like FF3.
I know what you mean with FF12. I played the demo and HATED the demo but I went against my instincts and bought it when it came out and once I got into the game pretty good (about 15-20 hours in) it gets a lot better. The battle system took a lot of shit from people but it was as interactive as YOU wanted it to be. You could set it up to just auto battle but I was a bit more active with mine.
Oh ok good haha. One of the best scenes in the game
Alexander vs Bahamut scenes are just... Mindblowing.
To be honest, any scene containing Bahamut (may it be almost ANY FF) is just way too awesome (<3 Bahamut)
