FF7 is the best game of the series, ff10 can only match it but not beat it.

i have to disagree with you krahen. FFX bored the livin hell out of me with the heavy dialogue(spelling?), it was ok, but too much talking.

back on subject:

FFVII was/is/will always be the best game, ever. The story will never be matched by another game/book/movie/etc. They really planned this one out. Cloud's mysterious past being revealed put a whole spin on the story. I loved it.

Don't get me wrong, FFVII was indeed a great game, but my personal favorite is FF3 [USA] for SNES. I still play it almost everyday happy.gif

I agree, I enjoyed FF6 (3 USA) far more than FF7. However, after having watched the new FF7 movie, I must say, it rekindled some serious interest back into the storyline.

I think the story of FF7 was pretty good, but the gameplay and in-game graphics left a LOT to be desired. It reminded me of the old King's Quest games, which is silly, since those were made in the early 80s.
