I like 7 better.

FFVII = best, none other came close

ff8 and ff7 are the best as for ff6 and 9 they sucked. I also have ffx and it's not the best, but it's ok.

VII is better.
X is #2 IMO
Third place goes to VI and IX.

no sorry its not ff10 has 97% rating ff7 has 100% its been rated by squaresoft comapny...

I liked FF7 the best because there were so many distractions from the main game such as minigames, sidequests etc. FF8, 9 and 10 were all good too, but IMO they're nothing compared to FF7, except in the graphics department.

As for the SNES FF games, they were all good too, back in the day, but I still think FF7 was the best.

final fantasy x was far from the best in my opinion. i havent played 1, 2, 5, or 6, and considering that those were the ones that started it all for the most part, ive missed out on a large chunk of the history of final fantasy. but i found the characters in 10 to be annoying (especially tidus- he came off as spoiled to me), some of the battles very repetitive, and some of the ultimate weapons were too hard to get. (i mean, dodging 200 lightning bolts or w/e was ridiculous, whereas in most final fantasies you can find the ultimate weapons laying around in the middle of nowhere-- somewhere in the middle would be nice) dont get me wrong, it was quite the achievement, but if square were to go back and remake 7+8 and add voice acting and also finish final fantasy 7 to its fullest, they would both be much more entertaining than 10.

IMO FFX is the best FF story on PS2..i didn't play to FF12 , but i'm sure he's great too !

FF10 has some really great things, such as:
- Sphere Grid style was awesome
- Storyline was cool
- Characters are lively (except Auron is a bit emo living in some Star Wars reality)
