imo, lvl 99 before guard scorpion could very well be the most time consuming, frustrating thing ive heard of.

ofc granted that i HAVE thought of it before because then everyone would lvl 99 after the reactor and on...

you sir, are a madman

A few people have already leveled to 99 before guard scorpion, i think it takes something like 3 years of daily play to do it.

come to think of it, idk if it's even possible to get Excalibur II without missing some equipment, key items or cards

It shoud be possible. The thing is you leave all cards and equipment (that isnt essential) that you can get later after acquiring the Excalibur II and go get it later, learning all skills, picking up all cards etc etc.

I have to admit that this is one of my last prioritys, and i will be pretty tired of hardcore grinding when im done with the Death Penalty glitch, so this wont be in the near future.

I seen people doing it claiming that they used around a year with some on and off playing.

And GJ with your challenges, exactly what i had in mind for this thread.( too bad i cant edit my first post anymore, because my Midgard Zolom "achivement" looks pretty pathetic now, THANKS ALOT!!)

some cards and equipment are missable though, you can't access many areas in disc 4, I remember not being able to get some of the best armors on my first playthrough because I missed out an armor in Disc 2 which I needed to take to the forge. It's not necessary, but it's always nice to have the best equipment.

Also, it's really hard to please 100 people during the duel without wasting too much time. And to get Excalibur II you need to level up at Gizamalukes Grotto by fighting Grand Dragon, and that's almost impossible to do wiithout the Coral Ring (which you can only get by loosing the hunt, so that wouldn't really be completing all the sidequests in the game).

Still, it might be possible, but really hard to get it all done in time.

To be honest, I believe it's either you try getting Excalibur II, or all the other side-quests. Doing both doesn't seem do-able.

To get excalibur II you need to get to disc 4 within 24 hours. It's impossible to do on PAL 'cause of 50 hz vs 60 hz, so I can't believe you have time to level there...

First of all, it's getting past lich in 12 hours to get Excalibur II. Second of all, a perfect game (getting perfect amounts of every item, plus excalibur 2) is very doable and has been done by quite a few people. Here's an example of an entire playthrough http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnphhQNkSAo&feature=channel_video_title

secondly, you don't have to grind grand dragons to get Excalibur II, you can beat the game at level 1 in less than 12 hours. It just requires lots and lots or preparation, planning, and resetting.

As someone who devoted their entire life to this at 12. (Srs)

I can honestly say it was the most difficult thing i've done videogame wise. I remember missing out on EX 2 on a perfect run by 40 seconds. Seriously, 40 seconds. Next attempt i was out by two minutes. That being said, Doing it without a perfect run. Eg levelling on GD as an example that was already stated is easy with some practice. Just learn the map, Use the shit out of save points and reset often.
