These. also all the Lunar series are epic.

never played these, but everybody says they are awesome, I think I'll try them out soon

I can't vouch Vagrant Story, but I will say Chrono Trigger is one magnificent piece of work. The soundtrack, the characters, the plot, the humor (oh God, the humor). The numerous endings you can unlock, some of them requiring a second playthrough where you retain your party's levels and equipment from the previous playthrough. The coolest SNES battle system I've dealt with. I can see why many see it as one of the greatest games of all time.

Seeing how I'm quite a bit older than I was the first time I beat it, I'm finding myself way too drawn in, wanting to play it whenever possible.
