No fucking way. I've played most of them. FFX, FFX-2, FF6, FF9, and 8 was WAy easier.

You have to gauge yourself a bit. Summons can make the game way too easy (particularly Knights of the Round), so I rarely used them and got a pretty good challenge out of it. Didn't use any Master material either, it's just like c'mon.

I've played all of those, 7 is definitely easier. I know you're a fanboy of 7, but come on. Difficulty is pretty objective, especially when it comes to RPGs.

There's a reason why you see so many crazy challenges for 7 that you don't see for others, is just because it is so easy. People actually want a challenge when they play it so they do those.

I think 8 is way easier.
The junction system was sorta innovative at the time (they were really trying to mix it up), but it's just so easy to exploit.
At the start of the game, find a T-Rex and blind it and draw 100 Fire and Thunder on everyone and junction it to STR or HP -- and you just breeze through everything.
Easy to convert found items into large amounts of powerful magic which boosts your stats when junctioned.
Magic is not necessary in the game. I always just used magic as a stat booster.
