Squaresoft > Square Enix.

If it were remade, Enix would be the one making it.

Therefore it would be shit compared to the original. Look what they did to Vincent. Look at the fucking door knocker they put on Cloud, and useless zippers going to nothing.

A true remake with just better graphics would be great, like Twin Snakes for the MGS series, or LoZ: OOT 3D for Ocarina of Time.

But knowing Enix, they'd change too much stuff.

^ Enix was a great company by itself. So was Squaresoft. Together they haven't really done much. But like I said before, I don't think it has anything to do with poor quality per se.
