Seriously? when did it become fashionable to hate on FF7. It is one of the greatest RPG's of all time, period. 500 million people agree, you are out voted.

3/6 whatever you want to call it, is not even a quarter of the game 7 is. Hell, Both the Anthology games are better than 6.

I'll agree with that and well it depends what majority of the people likes Personally I think the ff series after FFX are not the same. For example FFXII isnt that good, I expected it to be much much better.

Wrong, those of us in the US who got the cartridge know it as 3, also many consider it the best as 3, or these days, 3/6.



7 began the downfall when they started to care more about how the game looks, look at every advancement after that in the final fantasy series, the eye-candy gets better, the game quality gets worse and the gameplay slows WAY down.

I'm not saying 7 is bad, it was and still is a great game, however it doesn't even compare to the earlier final fantasy games for most of us who were alive and gaming back when it started.

Those of us older gamers grew up with the older final fantasy games and paid to make the franchise what it was when 7 hit, 7 caught the attention of the next generation of gamers and took off huge because the gamer population increases with time.

Most of the kids who started playing the Final Fantasy games at 7, don't like the older ones, mostly for the reason they aren't as "pretty" to look at. I've heard several kids say X-2 is the best, just wait, another 10 years and you'll be "out voted" by kids saying FF17 is the best.

Also, 3/6 is in Anthology, your statement is invalid.

I'm done with this though, it's worse than arguing over music, it all comes down to what the individual looks for in the games.

It's worth playing if you're a fan of final fantasy games, I enjoyed all of them up to 8 (the last final fantasy with a good story IMO), I gave up on seeing good new releases though after seeing that steamy pile of shit X-2.

Honestly the block graphics is one of the reasons WHY FF7 is so good.
In general it had great aspects of a good game, pre-omgIneedtheBestGraphics!!! spaz...
and Wickedry, I think you mean after 10 possibly... I liked 9, 10 was pretty good imo, after that... I kinda of stopped respecting Final Fantasy, I mean a p2p MMO. That is so not Final Fantasy.
At least thats my opinion, I can't comment so much on 1, as I am not sure if I've ever even played it, but I believe I played all but 11 at least a little.

Have you even played 7? The actual Gameplay is the reason its so popular, It had the perfect mix of eye catching attention, and hair raising gameplay. You say you grew up with the earlier FF's, Then you should truely appreciate this because its something 5 and 6 definitely lacked. 4 being the exception.

Also, 4/5 were the Anthology pack so no, my statement is not invalid. Do some research if you disagree, 6 when it was remastered for ps1 came in its own bundle. 1 and 2 came in its own bundle for the ps1 as well, but i never purchased it.

But your right, This is a pointless argument. But the simple fact remains, your in the minority. And your wrong. You might think your opinion outranks the top game polls, or the people who voted but your sadly mistaken. Actually, the fact you think FF series died after 8 makes me wonder if you've even played any of them. 9 is hands down the second best FF game.
