I didn't like XIII that much then again fighting normal group of monsters that take as long (if not more) than taking down main battles or bosses really can gives you a headache.

And this is what I've been waiting for and honestly impressed by it since I'm familiar with this type of battle system thanks to Dissidia.

if you have played kingdom hearts, than you will enjoy the gameplay, realtime action, you control the protagonist while probably 2 other NPCs follow you as support/casters, there will probably be reaction commands in battles and team usage

Looks interesting to me. I like the setting in a sort of modern, upscale(slightly gothic), type world. It's a novel idea coming from FF, since every game is either futuristic or medieval. A modern type world that turns apocalyptic? It's got my attention. Though, I gotta say, I hate the generic, emo-looking , stereotypical, regurgitated FF characters. It's like since next gen gaming technology came out they can't design anything but similar characters.

The gameplay looks like Kingdom Hearts to me, but with more to do possibly. As long as the story is good, and not too over the top unbelievable(which I think it might turn out to be), this might be a game for me to get. As I said, the setting already has my eye.

On a side note, why is the video flipped?

sometimes youtube will automatically detect copyrighted material and disable them, such as videos from square enix. Flipping the videos avoids automatic detection, though I don't think it was necessary for a trailer.

Looks sick. I'm thinking that this will be a FF 7/10 quality game. I feel like 13 was just a test of their new engine. Versus seems like it has the flare, the story, and most importantly what 13 lacked; sidequests and minigames.

Please no more XIII, it was just flat out horrible.
