Use a torrent program, I'm on 94,3% with an average speed of 73 kb/s, peaked around 220-270 KB/s.

I just hope it's as awesome as playing a normal FF game.

Downloaded the H2010.7.12.2000 patch, when I try to start up FFXIV it tries to download the patch AGAIN. :| Anybody got a clue? (it's in D:\Mijn_Documenten_Martijn\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads\ffxiv-beta\d96437e6\patch)

download the H2010..etc.2000 patch to your desktop, then paste from like the folder before it, into ur location and it should work. If you just paste the patch into ur games folder it wont work, and if u copy the entire thing and rewrite it it wont work.

its hard to explain because im not at my computer. But when you torrent the file you will get folders within folders, goes something like

FF14Betaversion/Something/Something/Something/Last folder before your h2010..etc./(then this will have your h2010..etc.patch)

You need to copy from "last folder before your h2010"... onwards. Then paste that into wherever the game file is located.

If you just paste the entire folder starting at FF14beta, it wont work, same thing if u paste just the patch.

Hopefully thats easier to understand, best i can do without the folders in front of me.

he's saying that you need to copy/extract the directory that the file you want is contained in. That way when you run the file you want (the patch in this case) you'll have the necessary supporting files and .dll files to install the patch correctly

Nevermind, got it to work

Didn't work so I redownloaded it with the official patcher. Somehow I got a 800 kb/sec average speed, spent about 1:15 downloading the complete patch.
