lol, whether the game is worthy in your opinion or not doesnt really matter. D2jsp is made for trading and the community, theres tons of people who play FFXI and XIV, so im not exactly sure why there isnt a forum for them

i like how this person thinks

also ppl need to vote and enjoy debating on this :)

You realize that the FFXI trading is slow, BECAUSE there is no forum, right?

Using your brain is hard.

This is a very true and somewhat odd phenomena. When people see there isn't a forum for a certain game, for some reason they think it doesn't exist. Most people dont even realize theres an "other games" section. Once they put in an FFXI/14 section it will quickly gain steam.

FF14 will be significantly different from FF11, but if you didnt like the basic concept of 11, you probably wont like 14. 14 will be bringing some better improvements like making it easier to solo, allowing you to sell things while you are offline, improved combat, etc. However, it is a real MMO, it isnt wow. WoW has become the mainstream, but wow is so watered down its amazing. It will take you roughly a year of 2-3 hours a day to max out a class in 14. It takes a lot of effort to level, to craft, to battle. Things take time, and you need to do what you are doing....however, it's that same concept that gives FF11/14 a great community and square puts a lot of time into making gameplay at all levels worthwhile.

If you only have time to play 10-20hours a week, it will take you a long time to get things done but its a superior product imo. Plus even if you dont have much time to play, doesnt mean you wont enjoy it. FF14 looks great.

well the reason why i think i liked the single player final fantasies is... hmm its hard to say xD it might be that you can get very powerful withing not so long time. and it is actualy fun to do it for me hehe. i also looked alot on the graphic design and it didnt look good for me :S do you know if it is going to be like hunting a boss down to get a stronger weapon. doing a hard quest for a reward.
not like diablo where you have to farm the same boss like 1000 times though you actually are strong enough to do anything in the game lol. anyone here tried median xl? thats the kind of gameplay i like. having a goal that can grand you good rewards. cool effects doesnt hurt >.> ff12 had that touch of legendary weapon finding thing :s

I like single player final fantasies too, but mmorpgs arent really anything like console rpgs. MMOs all have a basic concept. Go out, do quests, kill mobs, get items, craft stuff, etc.

FFXI was just like the older FF games. A group would be setup like a party would have been in the older games. Balanced, different roles, it's one of the best MMOs in terms of playing in groups. It just stresses team play and strategy, I guess a lot of people don't like that though.
