Fang as Com, Light as Rav, Hope as Rav. With their additional primary roles, you have your bases covered.
For the vast majority of the game you will not be straying away from a COM\RAV\RAV and COM\COM\RAV. Later on things like RAV\RAV\RAV, SAB\MED\MED, SAB\COM\SYN become important for 5-starring a mission.
Give Light the axis blade and * it until you can afford adamantite for Enkindler.
Fang gets Taming Pole, turn that to a * Venus Gospel. Hope should use and upgrade hawkeye because of its huge MAG.
Belladonna wand + Vanille's death spell = mission success.
The bhakti reward in Oerba should keep you from farming incentive chips, so don't bother with anything outside of a few accessories and the above weapons until you are hacking away in Ch. 11

Right now (Chapter 10) I am running Delta formation with Combat clinic when things get rough. (Com/Sen/Rav - Light/Fang/Hope) then (Med/Sen/Med) switching to mystic tower when AB Gauge is about 50% to up it faster. Then to Relentless assault if it is just 1 person. But delta if two+
As far as weapons go, right now hard to up them because I keep running out of mats.
For missions do I want to 5 star them? Or does it matter? 5 star give more exp? Better rewards? .. Not sure just now started doing them.
