I dont remember too much about Vaan....He just kinda....blended into the background haha. The main story overshadows him. I dont consider him the main char. If ANYONE is the main char its Ashe.

ff12 was easily my favorite battle system, also there was so much to it and much that could be unlocked via bazaar...besides that acquiring licenses and buying magic, techniques, gambits...easily the best final fantasy to it's date and in my opinion completely worth buying (I have the collecters edition myself)

Been mucking around with it... personally like the idea that you can see combat before getting into it... thus you can choose to combat or not.

The gambits make it easy for some gamers... I am in a point of the game where I just have 1 gambit set for each character.

Vaan (which I still use as main character) = Foe: lowest MP
All Others (which are all bow class) = Foe: Highest Maximum HP

And that is it, you do not need any other gambits at all, all you do is switch leading character (not change party) and cast from those others during the combat.

Note: you just walk around the map and it just Auto attacks... pure and simple... just like herding your minions into battle and let them do the work.

LPs are basic... all characters have the same (99%) so you can just have every single character the same... so no major difference in characters at all... just their names and sex.

I'd have to say, although the actual story of ff12 inst the best, It has some of the best gameplay. One of my favorite battle systems.
