A hint:

When youre "leveling" your characters in the Crystarium Grid, you can skip magic and unnessesary skills with Fang & Lightning & Snow and go straight for STR / Life on every class.
Same with the other characters but skip Str and go for MAG / Life.

Another hint:

When you can choose your own party, use Fang, Light & Hope!

well since i use light as a balanced char, magic is not a worthless skill

this is kinda pointless actually since if you kill everything handed to you in the first 10 chapters of the game you will have enough to max out everyones grids before moving on

you wont really be doing any grinding until chapter 11 or later and at that point you can get the growth egg and leveling becomes alot easier

dont spend any of your upgrades till chapter 11

lol well i play on the ps3 so i wouldn't know what buttons work for xbox lol, but good point poster may have 360.



also i disagree with skipping magic/skills.
you actually do gain a fair amount of xp, least enough to max out all your chars up to lvl 10 without any grinding.
plus i personally use lightning as com/rav and without magic/skills well she'd be quite useless.
as for snow, i totally ignore him so i don't care what he gets.

well just got my discs back and restarted since i upgraded useless shit. up to chapter 5 in like a hour and half, slow and steady but tryin to keep on track.
