The remake of FF4 on the DS was good....very good in fact but you'll spend more time and have more fun with FF8 I think.

I used to not like FF8 that much and I've said things like "its a good game but not Final Fantasy worthy". Looking back on it....I was REALLY WRONG. A lot of things are done really well and I hate to keep bringing it up (although it does deserve it)....you'll get addicted to that card game and find yourself playing nothing but cards for days at a time.

lol ... you can abuse the card game and have most of the ultimate weapons before you even leave the first disc

If you like FF7, you will like FF9 also

I personally didn't enjoy FF8 all that much. But ALL Final Fantasies are worth playing =)

Yeah, I know. I am in a toss up between J2E's fan-translation of FF4 for SNES or PSN's version of 8 on which Final Fantasy to play next. Just beat FF13 and can't really afford anything to expensive at the moment. FF4 is "free" and FF8 is $10.



I've had the DS version for a bit and actually didn't like the graphics. I think if I was to play FF4 I would prefer the SNES version over DS. DS does shitty 3d games in my opinion.



That's the plan. I've played 6 different games within the main series and loving it so far. Trying to keep it going with either 4 or 8 next.

If its the version of FF4 (seen as FF2 on the SNES) its a MUCH easier version from what I've heard. If you have a PS1 get Final Fantasy Chronicles which has FF4 and Chrono Trigger in it. That version has the 16-bit graphics but is the true harder version.

I found myself a fan translation of the original JAP release not an the NA release, so it as hard as it supposed to be and completely uncensored (lol)
