Ive noticed that if I try to upgrade a job that the the character didn't start with then it cost a lot more CP. Would it be wiser to upgrade the job's they started with in order to get the str/mag bonus' before moving onto other jobs?
For instance, I am trying to give Fang the Medic job in order to replace Vanille from my party. But one thing in the crystarium takes up so much cp.
yea, each character has 3 jobs they are "good" at, meaning it takes a certain amount of CP to move them up the grid, and they'll have 3 jobs they are "bad" at, which takes maybe the same amount or even more just to move them up the grid.
i figured that out when i attempted to level up my chars since i was also grinding in 11 and ended up maxing all 3 classes for them already.
i wouldn't recommend upgrading the lower 3 classes simply due to the amount of time it would take compared to the higher 3 classes.
though there is a trophy for maxing out all classes for a character i believe, but of course you can always do that later on.
another thing, i don't see why you'd use fang for medic.

gna? What does that mean?
My party now mainly consists of Light, Snow, and Vanielle
Com/Rav/Rav
Com/Rav/Med
Com/Sen/Med
i found lightning/hope/fang to be better.
hope has early access to aga spells and at the same time has medic and syner as a main class, meaning he can also learn alot of those spells early on.
Fang on the other hand, has less hp vs snow for tanking, but she does alot more for com which means you can use lightning as rav with hope for quick stag build-up.
then switch to com/rav/com to dish out massive launches and dmg
