Sounds right. Back then I didn't know about the W-item materia dupe trick, so I did it the old fashioned way. Gelinka gave the most AP per monster on average, so I spent a lot of time down there.

I used to fight at the mideel area, equipped apocalypse for cloud and the other weapon for Cid, that gives triple growth. usually get close to 1000 ap per battle. Another setup required a rubber band, and used auto-fire, and u leave for awhile and u rack up ap. I think cactaur island. Been awhile since I played.

All you need to do is fight Movers and Magic pots in the northern cave. You'll need to make lots of elixers for the magic pots, but it's so worth it. Magic pots give you 800 ap per one you feed. and the movers give you like 2400 a battle. Put them on a triple gaining weapon and thats 7200 ap per battle.

(HP Absorb)+(KotRT) + Mime = Cheat code, its how i crapped on both weapons

Final Attack/Phoenix

Such a sexy combo imo, slaps ruby every time, and just remove a couple o' them to kill emerald also ^.-

there's a spot where i would run back and forth for hours doing this! gotta make sure you steal a bunch of elixirs before you go down there...

as for materia combos, i used to use added effect -> contain... which would freeze/stop the enemy all the time!

Tried this before, and there was some effects that wasn't included (like sadness and fury, don't know if there were more thou).
