odin yields to people who heal wounds... learn to use libra on every new enemy... on eidolon battles it will give you special techniques for defeating them and for regular enemies it will make the AI party members and your auto-battle tactic exploit the enemies weaknesses
for odin set up 3 paradigms
medic/medic
synergist/healer
ravager/commando
at the beginning of the fight use synergist/healer to get everyone protected and shelled, then when odin is defending switch to ravager/commando, and once he switches to attack change to dual medics
beat this battle in about 2 minutes using this tactic
edit: PS i am about 11 hours in at the beginning of chapter 6
or you could simply use your item to give you haste faith bravery? shel protect ect
and zerg him from the bat, however i did get to the point where i could have had him twice without either buff using your strat
but sometimes you get hit so hard before shell is up and i forgot i had to press x and i was just waiting for the bar to fill when it was already full T_T
anyway, a few hours into disk 2 right when lightning and the kid got to his hometown
