You will inform me directly whether this is worth buying. Furthermore, you will find out if it's significantly better on the ps3 than on the 360 since I've been toying with the idea of getting a ps3 lately, and this would be a big reason why I would. You should also clear it up for me: which ps3's would let me play my old ps2 games, and where can I get those?
That is all.
I own both 360 and PS3, along with a slew of other consoles, and can honestly say I prefer PS3.
PS3 has much better media capibilities. I often find my PS3 as more of a media server then a console. You can throw any .avi onto a external hard drive and watch it on PS3, and PS3 will build it on it by automatically adding chapters, etc. While 360 you have to sync to your PC, use the Windows Media Center app (which isn't too great), then are vastly limited by file types.
I also prefer the controller, but that is preference.
The PS3 XMB, also in my opinion, is better then the 360 dashboard. 360 leans more towars "Mii's", little avatar rip off of Wii, where as in PS3 at any givein time in any given game you can press the home button to reveal more options. Little things like that, to me, make PS3 the more serious console.
