ok well last night i spent over two hours playing ff8 trying to kill the last boss, my chars are in the low80's, i have all GF's, not all weopons i have my limet break locked because i havent killed omega weapon and i dont think i could without my final wepons.
i used Squall, Zell and Rinoa.
anyways i killed the first state where you fight her alone.
then i killed her gf.
then she and her gf combine together as one, i killed this too
then she falls apart and so theres only alittle part of it i killed this too
then she transforms into sum weird looking thing and this is where my game stuffed up, all the colours went wacky so i was very hard to see my magic spells and that gf were.
then i was fighting her for ages she had killed all my gfs so i was using triple and ultima and would get another spell in her and now when i wasnt healing from her stupid spell that knocks you down to 1hp.
I think my game glitched here, well it already had with the colours but it didnt concern my unlike when gigamesh came out and would attack her.
i ended up dying because of her stupid spell that throws away your magic and i couldnt revive my team mates so i was left with rinoa and her dog that came in and gave me a x potion or phoenix down and sumtimes used his rush attack.
so im asking a good method on how to kill her or how you killed her and if anything that i mentioned above happen to you?
e.g gigamesh (they guy that took odins place) coming out, the method doesnt need to be so i can kill her because i started ff8 again and im going to be more prepared next i try to kill her.

Your having problems with the final boss on FF8? I was lvl 42 with my chars when i killed her...no problems, just checked my save file and killed her
! I never use GF's though, their a waste of time IMO when i can do 9999 dmg each hit.
Char 1 - Squall (Main Attack/Support Magic)
Char 2 - Irvine (Attack/Support Magic/Healer/Item)
Char 3 - Zell (Attack/Support Magic/Healer/Triple Caster)
Last part of the battle you need to make sure you have a lot of megalixirs, easiest way to do that is to refine your Bahamut card which you automatically get with Quezacotl's card refine ability to get 100x of them. Make sure all your chars have Item on their abilities in case they need to throw a megalixir when she does that 1 hp move shit.
First I use irvine to cast meltdown on the boss, squall casts triple (Or if you want, use Cerberus if you have him maxed) and have Zell cast aura (3x).
Next round use either Irvine to cast dispel on her because some times she has protect, shell, haste, regen or w/e support spells there are. Squall use renzokuken and have zell use Haste (3x).
probably have to healt he third round so have irvine use Megalixir and use zell to cast aura (3x) again or if your still in aura cast regen.
The rest of the rounds is just pummeling, use squall and irvines limit breaks to bring her hp down and have zell concentrate on Megalixirs/Regen/Haste/Aura.
Easy battle for me though =P!
