[x] Final Fantasy 12 by a bit

Was a hard choice. I love ffx' storyline, completing the game 100% gets a bit boring (farming all those spheres and items for customizing gozu armors). And as you said not enough exploring, only 3 hidden aeons :(, should've been more dungeons like the omega ruins etc etc. I still like the battle system, so it doesn't lose any points there.

ff12 has a fairly good storyline, nothing special, the gambit system is a very nice improvement imo, gives final fantasy something completly new. Then there are the many hidden espers.
I also like the quickenings. A big negative though, the new summons :( I wanted to see a new bahamut and a new ifrit, it's lame that they named the airships after them :s
This game has more of that which ffx lacked: gameplay. And the story isn't all bad, so my choice goes to ff12 by a bit ^_^

Yeah i agree with most of what you said, FF12 gets the sex points for secrets :D

ff12 by far... nice graphics.. u get to see the monsters walking on the fields!!! lacks of things like i would have want the character change their clothes wen they wear different armors/helms.. just like swords and shields.. the hunting was fun!! the battle system is awsome!! great game and must have! =)

Characters changing armor would take way too much effort, lol

i liked the battle system and the storyline better in ff10. ff12 had a unique style in my opinion. i cant describe it hehe. it was cool to go out and hunt massive monster that were even hard to find sometimes. then when you find it, you dont know if you get your ass kicked. it was kinda free. my vote goes for ff10 by far btw, perfection. one of the best games in the world ever in my opinion. ff12 was very good, but not at the top lists

Ff10 best game ever? Wouldnt go that far, but yeah it was nice. :)

I have never played 10 so it's kinda of useless for me to post. But I will say that 12 gave the oportunity to expore so many ways of playing the game. For example you can play the low level game, no licence board, or even make it a class specific genre such as Ashe being the only magic user and making it so that she only gets to use magics. Hence not opening all the licence board. I'm not sure if 10 with the grid like I've read you can do that. The possibility of playing different styles of game within the game is so much more superior in my opinion. I have yet to put this game down and I have played 12 over and over and over and over too many times. I'm sorry but I'm biased in saying 12 outrules all FF games. I really enjoy though FF8 and USA FF3. with Kefka. That was my first game of FF on SNES. Never was able to kill Kefka. But in 12 I have very much finished the game over many times. The only dislike of 12 is that anyone can be anybody. So therefore I have created my own challenge in which I made Bash a magic user only. Kind of fun and weird. Ashe being the main basher with swords etc etc. and no magics.
My vote FF12.

Ff10 doesnt really allow for that so much as to get to next spheres, you have to get the one in front, :(
in the end, everyone IS everyone, though there are various challenges to go through. Low exploration though, :(

Its a toss up for me. I LOVED X's combat. I miss games like that with the turn-based battle system. X had a good story...well had a great story I think but so did XII. XII to me was a breath of fresh air to the FF series. It had a great story too I dont know why people dont like it unless they just couldnt keep up with it or disappointed because it wasnt a love story.

So I think they are about even.

By a bit meaning, it was better but only a little bit, etc.

I voted Final fantasy 12 by a lot.

While the characters were Dull, i thought the storyline and exploration completely beat out 10's Storyline and Unique, but mostly lame characters.

Ff10 loses points on the battle system as well since it was pretty basic, and fails harder for the sphere grid, which is only cool before everyone masters everything, :)

voted 12 by alot 10 was good but 12>10 by a LON shot

i hope they improve the old school system they use, turn based, and combine it with somethin like legend of dragoon, with their own twist. As someone whos played nearly all their games, 12 was a nice break from their standard, even if summons and most offensive magic, was essentially useless,
