12 was good.
Something that i always liked was the turn based fighting of FF games.
When i played FF11 i knew they wouldn't do something like that, but they made the new system VERY well.
When they moved that over in a way to 12, i didn't mind to much because i was use to FF11 by then.
the game lacked the "class" system and that really killed it for me. after going through the game the first time, i decided to look online for some guides to see what if anything i might have missed that could of made it more fun.
i found some guides on how to set up a class system, and to make the game WAY more fun. and things like the 122333 system where you never get a level on any guy are pretty fun to play.
i have now 10 saved files at end game. all different "builds" including a solo run with almost everyone.
If the game had a FFX-2 system for classes i would of been way more impressed.
I agree that if you play the game as is, FF12 is just okay. A little too easy even especially if you got everyone at lv 99 with 9999+ hp. Playing the game differently such as 122333, solo, or nlbllg (no lisense board low level) are ways to play to make the game more fun and challenging. My prefered game play so far was Solo low level game. The best fight in that game play was soloing Penelo lv3 vs Gilgamesh round 2.
