Final Fantasy 9 has the best music by far. Thats the only thing that really kept it up as a great final fantasy. They should have done the smart thing and put actual voices for the cut scenes and stuff but they were like na lets just put awsome music instead.

thats not nerd, thats awesome.. ffx music is shit btw.i hate it.. i have no idea how zanarkand theme song is more popular than aeris theme. that was best one, then ff7 overall theme was nice too.. nanaki's dad's theme was also rly good, but i cant find it anywhere -.- nobuo... lol

FF7's music wasn't very good tbh, you can't count the soundtrack for it because that is arranged and irrespective of the gameplay.

FF4 / FF5 / FF6 all had great music, 4 and 6 particularly; FF8 had some great tracks as well
