FF8 for me...late starting gamer...did have SNES and NES..but pretty much all I played on that were lufia and doubledragon like game...(to play with mates)
Loved FF8 tho...even though I played it like a real n00b...disliked the drawing system(actually didnt understand it my first run through till I was halfway through the game)
as such I drawed little and leveled quite a lot....making a VERY hard game for myself...but I still loved it (partially probably because I made it so hard for myself )

FF7 i got it when it first came out and on my birthday too.

My first was ff2/4... have played every ff since except 11... (my computer sucks)... oh and 3... (iv e played like 3 minutes of it but it was very badly romm'd)

I played all up to 8 didnt care for the newer X series
(played FF6) first bought japanese version of 7 and american bought both japanese and american of FFT since I love that game
Played the japanese only one 4 or 5 i cant remember

but I still play FF tactics best game ever to have complete control over destiny

4 autoturn chickens turned to frogs and enemies frogged and danced to 1 speed

challenge yourself to play all thieves and steal everything

ff7 was the best!!!

FF1 on the NES when it first came out. I named my characters AAAA BBBB CCCC DDDD

FF1, but I was too young to understand it, I kept dying on the way to the Vampire's house and eventually put it down until I figured out there was more to it than just fighting, then I clobbered it with three fighters and a white mage, so many dungeons I'd have to practise in order to make it through because of the instant death spells, and petrify coctrices. 30 hp Heal potions were my only resort and they ran out very fast since you could only carry 99, I had a lot of trouble beating this so I would say it was the most challenging one I've played. I have the first three saved/beaten on Dreamcast emulated CD's, and I love 5 and 3 for it's Job system.

ff9 -.- why do you guys hate it ? it aint bad..

FF9 was first one i fully beat but, first one i ever played way ff7

I think the first FF i played was Final fantasy 6, man good memories.
