I decided to make a post on FF XII. Basically you can post on anything that concerns FF XII. I found myself posting stuff on 12 in other posts and was wondering maybe it shouldn't be posted in those posts.
What I'm posting about this time is. Does anyone know where to find moondust. I thought they dropped from Mu in the Feywood but I found myself with a chain of 76 without one single drop. Just wondering if any other creature drops this stuff. Don't say a Hunt trophy rare because those are all dead. Those won't respawn. Worse chain for item was Cerebus. I had a chain of 456 and 6 Hells Gate for 1 of the pieces for Tournasol, well to make Gemsteel.
I'm trying to make Artemis Bow. I guess I'm just a hardcore player since I know this isn't the best bow, but so far I have every ultimate weapon and their secondary. I just need Danjuro as ultimate dagger still to find.
Need 1 more badge also to get Wyrmhero Blade. If I can just get that last fishing quest, but getting 8 perfect is hard to achieve.

Yup Cause fury is dead. I might have sold it by accident cause I don't see it in my inventory. But moondust isn't used with anything else so I just need 1 moondust from Mu. Plus only way to do this guy is wearing Ribbons cause he's surround by confuse spell from those midgets.
All I have left in the game is that damn hunt catalogue. Not the 80 rare. That last figurine in the Pirates den.
Everything else is done. I got that badge in the fishing stuff and killed Omega Mk last night.
So fill that damn catalogue requirements.............and off to Bahamut and finish this game. I'll be sad when its over. I've been at this game for 2 full months........at least 3-4 hours per day.
Guess I could restart and do the 122333 challenge.

get recks to 99 before you even get to vaan, then you have done EVERYTHING in the game

lol for Reks at lv99. I don't want to start the real game by the time I'm old.
I just finished the game actually. Everything done, every side quest and Clan rank Order of Ambrosia.
rare game took me the longest. Alot longer then doing the Tournasol.
Found a way to trigger sandstorm in Westersands. That took me a long time to discover that during the Rains in Giza if you head for Westersand, your chances increases for sandstorm hence getting the gnoma entite. Needed 2 of those for Hunt Catalogue.
If you have heavy rain in Giza, and leave for Westersand, I came in a sandstorm.
Just one thing never spawned for me and I tried for over 2 hours. lv99 Chocobo but he never came. Gave up after 2 hours. I used Break on the Chocobos in Osmone Plains/ Haulo Green
2 sections where you have 3-4 chocobos. Use break and head to the other chocobos. Break those too, sleepga on them and head back to your first group and they should be near stone. One way of doing this instead of zoning 2 screens.
Anyways you want to know my time log. Game done, every ultimate weapon with ultimate armours (unfortunately 1 Zodiark Spear - Nechrols, never spawned in the henne mines. ) somehow 2 ribbons I forget where I got them, probably in the Pharos didn't notice them. I think one of them in a chest in Pharos. 316 hours.
My setup was like this....but not always depending on who I had to beat up. Primary set up

Balthier Lv88 - Maximillian, Crown of Laurels, Bubble Belt, Yagyu Darkblade/Fomalhaut (stone shot)/Tournasol
Fran Lv91 - Mirage Vest, Celebrants Miter, Cat-Ear Hood, Sagitarrius Bow (Artemis Arrows)/ Zodiak Spear
Bashe Lv95 - Genji Armour, Genji Helm, Genji gloves, Masamune
Ashe Lv91 - Lordly Robes, Crown of Laurels/Black Mask/White Mask, Ribbon/Sage's Ring, Staff of the Magi
Penelo Lv90- Lordly Robes, Crown of Laurels/Black Mask/White Mask, Ribbon/Sage's Ring, Staff of the Magi

*I could have gotten them to Lv99 all at the Henne Mines/Pithead Junction C, Where u can kill those bats for 3111 exp with Embroidered Tippet(6222 ea). Didn't bother though. I got these levels in game play. You level up real fast when you do that rare game 80 monsters.
And when you hunt in the Pharos, and Great Crystal.
Anyways..........this game was awesome. If you beat Yiazmat, you shouldn't find anything else hard. Even Omega was a joke. Defeated Omega using Bashe, Ashe and Fran. Use Ashe on casting Decoy and reverse on Bashe, Fran curing self/ ally hp-Ashe and hitting. Balthier was my suicide player to get inside Omega and then die, spawn Bashe Fran and Ashe already set up in reverse / decoy with Bashe.
I didn't want Ashe on casting any cure so she wouldn't miss on reverse.

Hey ......... ximortal2000. I'll let you on a secret with reverse. You see the reverse thingy spin right. count it. there are 18 spins for every reverse cycle spell. therefore the trick is if you count up to 13 spins. immediately recast reverse on your guy and by the time the spell is up ready to be sent to Example to Basch he will recieve it as the spell ends. Therefore you recieve the reverse in time for another cycle of 18 spins.
It works 90% of the time. You might miss it once in a while because either it was sent to fast, but 13 usually is the lucky number. I figured that out versus Yiazmat. Finally every 2-3 reverse, have someone else cast away Decoy so that the Decoy doesn't vanish. Decoy will not miss, it will reset the Lure timer.
Then you'll understand how easy it is to bring down Omega.
I used Fran and Ashe, Fran casting Reverse, Ashe with Lure. All to Basch. At times you'll need to Syphon Basch, but thats fine cause he's getting mist on every hit. Plus alot of times Omega casts Beserk on Basch so you don't need to Berserk him.

Finally, let me tell you. NEVER EVER leave your girlfriend with this game. I arrived from school today and thought.....awesome I'll head to Henne Mines and get my players to lv99. Unfortunately opening my ps2, I saw one game saved. 16hours. WTF where is my game of 316 hours. OMG she saved her game on top of my game. Crap all this and nothing to show for anymore. Shiate.
So wtf I guess I'll grab my girlfriend's game and get her moving along the game. Get her some nice gear. Traverler's Garb would be nice. 2 braid wool, 2 tanned hides, 5 water stones.

Well I restarted FF XII. My gf got bored with the game and I basically took over. So I earased her game, which she had done to mine prior and restarted fresh.
I started out doing that tomato hunt, then the palace events. As soon as the pasage to Nalbina was up, I got their to buy weapons and armours.
I kinda cheated on the game this time because I got the best weapon immediately. I opened my quickenings as soon as possible. Then After doing Raithwall, the passage to Nichrols was open. I raced up thru Mosophoran, Silkawood and finally inside the Nichrols.
I had Basch level 21, as my highest player. And here I cheated. It took me roughly 2 hours to start from the doorway of the Nichrols and race to the Spear and back out. I died so many times.
What I did was I started running with one guy, as soon as he died, or I was targetted I spawned in another player since I knew he was going to die, therefore spawn someone and get him going to change screen where we can revive the dead player.
I forget the order of my players but I tried to get Basch to start with since he had the most life. And revived him at the change screen section. Well its not really cheat cause they made it possible to get the spear at early stage of the game. Just hard to survive the run.
Getting the Spear is possible but 1 hit you'll die. you must be fast. Oh and inside the room with those chests, the spear in in the 1st row, 2nd to left. Cause once inside the room you'll have like 5 Elvorets waiting on you're way out blocking the doorway. Get 2 players up and sacrifice one.
Here is the Weapons I have so far and in order as I made them, found, or dropped.
1. Zodiak Spear (Nichrols) - after Raithwall.
2. Sagittarius Bow (Made) - after Jahara
3. Ultima Blade (Made) - after Bur Omisace
4. Scorpion Tail (Made) - after Bur Omisace
5. Artemis Bow (Made) - after Bur Omisace
6. Tournasol (Made) - after Bur Omisace (okay somehow the parts fell much faster if you're low level and if you're not far in the game. I had 6 Hells Gate Flame on my 50th chain, 6 War Gods Band on my 100th chain Leynir, 3 Scarletite on 22nd chain Emeralditan, Dalmasca Steel well you need 6 so 6 steal of Anchag, snake skin from wild snake in Giza, Soul Powder was my last item to get so I opened the hunt rare game, just ran to Archades, Chocobo up to Sochen Cave, defeat the Mandagoras and run to the next boss fight before lower Archades)
7. Fomalhaut (Lhusu Mines) - After Antilon Hunt
8. Artemis Arrows (Made)______________________________
Here I levelled Basch so he can take on Gilgamsh and tougher opponents.
9. Masamune (Hunt Reward for Gilgamesh) Yes Basch was now level 73, party Vaan 55 and Ashe 35.
10. Yagyu Darkblade (Lhusu Mines 33rd chain, kinda lucky on the chain) Hard to survive this as Basch you're only guy that can take on the Bombshell having those Bridge Dragons casting Aeroga or Thundaga
11. Grand Bolts. (Made by accident.....selling loot and it appeared without me knowing I made this lol)

how long did it take u all to realize that larsa is a guy lol.....took me a few hours
