Anyone? I really enjoyed the series a ton. I feel I'm in the minority, but most people I talk to gave 13 like 6 hours or less and then said fuck the series lol.

Haven't played in about a year - but had a great time on all of 'em.

Which did you pref? Personally, I thought the gameplay and story of 13 was lackluster but experimental. 13-2 Had a more interesting leveling system and fun endgame bosses (i.e. the DLC bosses). Lightning Returns had the most interesting combat system (active battle + blocking), which in the Final Fantasy franchise was still very new (90% of previous games were turn-based combat).

Thoughts?

I was one of those people that gave 13 around 4 hours and was bored out of my mind. I literally fell asleep just mashing attack. I've always wanted to go back and give it another shot I mean it is Final Fantasy I had some serious high hopes for it.

Haven't played third and don"t intend to.

If you've done the first 2, I would play Lightning Returns. Its not that bad, plus if you wanted, you could run through it in like 8-10 hours probably.



I would Say I like 13-2 the Best. Helps I got my wife to play 2 and lightning Returns. So she was interested in the story and everything. I really liked Yuel and the concept. But my favorite character in the series was Lumina I think.

Loved 13, thought 13-2 was confusing. Never got around to 13-3.

Give 13 some time to get started. I thought the battle system was second only to the tactics style job system.

because of seeing this post I have started to play FF13.. I'm a few hours in so far... chapter 3..

I have never finished the game before so now is good a time as any.. last time i played was 3 years ago and I made it to chapter 11 before
