YES!!! I finally bought the game for ps3 and its installing right now... its going to take awhile since its 6451 megabits......
but I have a few questions I need answered before I create my character and start playing...

first question is --- what server should I play on?? I know there are going to be alot of them and I wanted to know your opinion on which is the best to play on

second question is --- because I don't want to play healer or mage or tank, which is the best type of attack type build I should make??? I think I heard of a type called "Lancer" and it sounds good but what else would stack good with a lancer??

third question is --- because I am playing on ps3 does the game support texting chat or headset chat for it???

fourth question is --- do you guys know the godliest pvp guild around?? cause when I am high level I don't want to be sitting on my ass farming, I would prefer going around dueling people or even playerkilling instead....

I'm very excited about starting this MMO... I haven't played an mmo since WoW over a year ago

You should have a square Enix ID, this not your email address but an account name you choose while registering. You should be able to recover this if you can't remember it.

For your class you can go with any of them, all dps classes are sought after in parties.

Obviously you will probably be waiting around longer than tanks or healers using the duty finder but there are no favourite classes, the game is pretty well balanced so if you think Lancer looks cool go for that.

And I'm not sure where your from but I'm on Cerberus in eu, been good so far!

A word of caution, if you are starting this game up with dreams of pvp and pk'n people you will be sorely dissapointed in what FFXIV has to offer; especially in comparison to what you would be use to in WoW. They have one instanced pvp zone being a 4v4 arena called the Wolf's Den, and although you can join the que with a premade group, there is no server ranking system or other form of comparative achievements to compete for. The only rewards for PVP are earning titles for your character and items that only have a purpose while in the Wolf's Den.

4v4 on the same arena floor (circular with small walls to block los in the effective corners of the ring) gets VERY boring VERY quick, and as the PS3 already has poor framerates etc compared to PCs I highly doubt the game will be implementing a battleground anytime soon. I liked the dungeons FFXIV has to offer, however the PVP available is mind-numbingly boring. :wallbash:

If PVP is just an added bonus and you have a boner for all thing FF its a good game, but if PVP is the gas to your fire then you are going to be disappointed. Hope you enjoy it though, cheers!

You really... really should have done your research before you bought this game.

The fact that you came from WoW, and that you want to focus on PvP means you literally just wasted your money. Just saying :(
