Hey guys I'm playing FF XII And I'm on the 3rd boss( the big fire bird guarding some dudes dead temple) and i cant pass it.. i have 3 people with quickening's and I'm using them but i just cant kill him!

train >.> use quickenings in the end of the battle were you cannot do more damage to him cuz u are dying urself. then use ur last mana for queckenings :P he only has 10k hp or something?

It makes it 95% easier if you took the time to get the Eskir berries

Blind makes this 100% easier ;)
and no such thing as eskir berries

edit: and quickenings have always blown hard for me, they are always so useles...in the time it takes me to do quickenings, i could have done like 3x the damage with regular melee.

at the sandscale bank talk to the moogle
he will tell you about a desert treasure or something , eitherway it doesnt matter

you then head to withering shoors and beat the huge turtle
go back and talk to the moogle who will tell you the urutan has run east towards ogir-yensa
go after him and go up the platform 2 refinery , theres then a cutscene and the urutan runs back inside sandscale bank
follow him to watch another cutscene where there is a urutan meeting thing
once that finishes there is a flower in the middle , go over and pick the berries from it

and if your wondering
the berries
takes off hp and lowerst strength and defence

also if you equip 2-3 chars with killer bows it should be over pretty swiftly

The Eksir Berries is a item obtained from the Rogue Urutan Flower, and is nearly vital in defeating Garuda. It is non-elemental, greatly reduces Garuda's attack power and removes the Enraged buff.
edit Obtaining

One must first defeat the large turtle threatening the Urutan, after that follow one of the Urutan. When you manage to catch up, he will be executed by the Queen, and at the place of his death; shall grow the Eskir Berries.

Forgetting about 1 item that isn't entirely necessary doesn't mean i don't know what im talking about.
I simply forgot about them, since it has been awhile.
Regardless, Blinding garuda + good blocking equipment + magic is the easiest way to defeat him.

Actually Eskir berries, 3 x killer bows and Vosslers telekenisis means the battle lasts about 10 seconds

i beat the giant turtle in like 10 sec :) had 1 5 chain quickening combo with 2 people plus the inferno special did 8.8k dmg

im gonna fallow the little rat now
