i think it would be cool if they made a game like soul caliber or mortal kombat
but with all the final fantasy characters in it instead

There was one, kind of. Ehrgeiz featured Cloud, Sephiroth and Tifa.

lol there is, its called Dissidia: Final Fantasy, its got practiclly all the main chars, even the warrior of light from ff1, its got cecil, kain, chars from ff3, all the way up to 12

Ehrgeiz was actually fairly good and deep, but just poorly received. I could go into an entire tirade regarding why the game is good, but that'd be pointless, since you obviously won't agree with me.

yea but it would be a lot better if they made it on like ps3 or xbox360

i actually played it alot when i had it, mainly cause i was a hardcore ff7 fan at the time. just looking back on it now it didnt seem that great, it was reaallly random, there was no real story line to it, it was just mindless battles, and 50% of the chars were ff7 chars. and most of the minigames were really dumb

thats for sure, when i first saw it i was so stoked, and then i saw "psp". and got depressed

Well, again, I'm looking at the game from a game design perspective, and from that view, Ehrgeiz was actually fairly decent. If I recall correctly, it was the first three-dimensional fighter to incorporate higher ground, along with free-flowing three-dimensional movement and the inclusion of environmental weapons.

Granted, I don't think it's a great game, but I do think it was good. High 7/10 if you ask me, which is a pretty good score, considering only an absolutely perfect game (which could never exist) would get a 10/10.
