I've stumbled across a way to dodge the lightning bolts with no trouble at all. It consists of going to the save sphere in the northern area of thunder plains, and just to the southwest of it there's a crater next to a qactuar stone. If you run into that corner between them, it won't let you move at all but you'll still be doing the running motion, and lightning will continue to flash at you. Here's the trick: tap X repeatedly, but somewhat slowly. I timed it so that I was tapping it in time with the quarter notes of the background music. You automatically dodge the bolts. Doing this, I'm at 45 consecutive dodges with no problems.

I haven't seen any mention of this anywhere, so I was wondering if anybody else has heard of this. Also, does it work for you also? This is quite a bit easier and less tense than the traditional way, if it actually works all the way through.

I don't remember exactly how I did it but I remember I had an equipment on someone that had no encounters or something like that so I wasn't bothered with fights. This helped a lot. As to dodging the lightnings, after awhile it stopped being so hard so I was able to do it. Don't remember using any kind of different strategies.

everytime a lighting is going to hit you, you will have around 1 sec to react and hit the x button. that means that if you press the button like every 0.5sec but not slower than 1 sec. then you will press the x button every sec but only once. hit the x button and wait around 1 sec then press it again. then you will be able to dogde the lightning every time. ofcourse no encounters is a must xD

Lol dude that isn't Lulu's ultima weapon that is Khimari's lulu ultimas weapon is underwater! you know at the begining of the game when you get attacked by that huge fish monster? the green one lol i dont know it's name but if you go back to that place (it is possible) then there's a sphere which gets you onion knight, but dodgeing lightning is khimar's ultimate weapon

Are you retarded? Dodging the lightning 100 times in a row will unlock the Mars sigil, which will help unlock Lulu's Onion Knight. Following the cactuar stones in the Thunder Plains will give Kimahri's Spirit Lance.

Well i'm sorry i havn't played final fantasy X in months! lol maybe years but still dodging lighting isn't hard it's all about timing so if you want to pass the lighting put some music on you like which will "provoke" you then go crazy lmao
