Final fantasy probably isn't the best rpg series, but one of the more prominent ones. It's much more well known.

I disagree with anyone that says seven was the best in the series though.

It wasn't.

The story of 7 was pure brilliance.
The characters of 8 were so engaging though.

Tough call.
