On Ps1 version, i want to do the quests at the bar, but i hate walking over to 2 towns, or walking at all........ is there a way i can skip the random battles or reduce them? Even later in the game would be beneficial.

no but if the bar u are near has no grounds to fight like town next to town just go back and forth

yeah i do that, but for cities Down at Warjilis and cities near it.. you gotta walk like 9 spaces just to get to the next City-city town
and i almost always hit a battle.... so lame

im lvl 44 at like mid chapter 3....lol just from doing Props.

Yeap. I had ninja really early as well. but far before chapter 3

yeah the psp version is great

use a gameshark or some cheat device to make the battles go away.
That's about the only way.
Unless there's some potions or something that reduces battles, I never got in to FFT for psx to discover that..
