FF VI VII VIII IX X X-II and XII are awesome and i also think about to order FF XI, but hey

if you buy the game, with 1 exp pack its about ~ 15€ here, and you can play it 30 days for free

i'll buy it and check it out when i have some more freetime, and then

i will decide if its worth to pay monthly fee for it

Hey, It's a really great game!

I play on Diabolos server but here:

Pros:
6 Man parties

18 man raid parties

Special Endgame guild events

Tons of stuff to kill

Notorious monsters[Rare timed spawns] drop rare items and they are in like every zone

Lots of quest

Ranking system 1-10 [move up ranks through missions]

Unlockable Jobs[Every job you can think of, even Puppetmasters Bluemages and Summoners]

Auction House for easy buying/selling of items

Lots of tradeskills to do, and they are all worth it

Different towns to start in

Airships[Get rank 5 for the pass or pay a huge amount of gil(500,000)]

Lots of missions

Inventory is expandable through quests

Get your own mog house which you can put things in

Events held by SquareEnix to get items that would be otherwise inexsistant

Eat food to get buffs and stuff

Potions!

Many places to level, lots of game updates

Many different kinds of items

Wear handgrips in your offhand to improve ability with 2 handed weapons

Weaponskills after you gain TP[Technique Points] from fighting things or taking damage. When you gather 100% of these at the minimum(300% at the maximum) you will do more damage with a weaponskill.
If other people use weaponskills and time it right with you you can create a skillchain.. Light Darkness Fire Water Ice Wind Earth Lightning etc.. And then the blackmages whitemages redmages or w/e in your party can do a magic burst off that skillchain if they cast a spell of that element and time it right. Magicburst will increase the damage or effect of your spells.




Cons:
Lose EXP when you die(Doesn't really bother me)

People buy gil online sometimes and the economy fluctuates a lot

Cheaters will camp Notorious monsters so they can claim them first[Most of these people get banned quickly and it is becoming less of a problem, but some people are slow to claim and blame these cheaters]

Prices rise and lower really quickly on the auction house

Not many characters from the other FF games, but atleast cid is there, he is a blacksmith in the game though, or an alchemist or something.. He hangs out in the metalworks in Bastok

Can't socket items(Oh well)






It's really a great game, you should check it out it is a very enjoyable game and definately worth the pay.

trust me, ur better off with Guild Wars Factions or something, I played FFxi and loved it for like 6 months on and off, but it got too tedious, finding parties sometimes takes over an hour or until you give up, FFxi just offers very little extras, and graphics arent up to par. Chocobos are awesome, and the gameplay is addicting, but lvling is so slow you're going to lose interest in your character as i did. Leveling up to 20 seriously takes tons of mob fights with full parties from lvls 12-20... it gets really boring when you have to do that multiple times with different 'jobs' which lvl up separately. some of the quests are difficult to follow or drawn out to extend too much time. I recently got guild wars, lord of the rings online, and wow, and im starting to like Guild Wars the most, due to its Diablo feel and execution. You lvl up quicker than other mmo's in gw and its got a fun interface and story. Final Fantasy XI is a little too laid back and drawn out, while im sure the endgame is sweet and bad-ass, the game is just too dull in the beginning, and my ffxi chars never got past lvl 33 also, ffxi has awesome fishing!!! i'd say get it if you wish to experience it!!!

Awesome game, has alot of pros, some cons.

9/10 game for me, played it 2 years.

I'm going to say guild wars is one of the worst pay to play MMORPG's out there, I'm really tired of typing today so I'm not going to bother saying why, but trust me, it's really terrible. It's like playing a stupid flash game or something. TERRIBLE! 2/10

y i dont rly like it aswell, friend have it and play it day by day

it looks kinda like a oldschoolversion of wow in my opinion, and ain't really worth to play(since its kinda expencive, he paid ~ 130€ i think for the game + exp.packs)

i want to play FF XI , but well, atm i have to read about the payment, i think its needed to own a creditcard, so have to get a kreditcard aswell......

you play in like a world compared to diablo (which is a game that makes you very impersonal with your character) final fantasy lets you watch your character grow its more personal and i like the actual gameplay better its not a game that can be cheated by any method similar to "Rushing" unless you PL, in which case depending on your character still could take a while.

It's a very slow game. If you feel like you don't have the time to play it, then don't.
