Had rank 6 last month, so its not that i have that big a problems, but this deck gets me every time.
What I mean is:Getting to rank 10, rank 5, rank 3, or legendary are all goals any F2P player can achieve. Any individual deck, or a range of decks, can easily be made by any F2P player.
What a F2P player is limited on is:1. Dust usage is less effective.
- If you craft a legendary now, and open it later, you lost 1200 dust net of that process.
- If you save dust until you open the majority of cards you need, you likely won't have many/any usable competitive decks for a long time.
- If you disenchant cards that you may need in the future, that is wasted dust if you don't open that card from a pack before needing to re-craft it later.
2. Being competitive in HS is all about being able to adjust your deck or card choices based on what you're statistically most likely to be up against (the metagame).
- As you move up the ladder toward "Legendary" rank, the metagame for you shifts. The decks you are up against will be different. Without the necessary cards, you may not be able to play the cards or decks necessary to have the best chance of winning.
- If you don't have the right cards immediately on set release, you don't have the opportunity to react to an unstable meta.
- When you finally do have the cards you need, the metagame has settled, and certain opportunities in particular months will have already been lost to you.
- Etc, etc. Less cards = more rigid decks = you're unable to react to the metagame (which is where the bulk of skill lies in HS).
