I have been trying out playing Reno in my Tempo Mage (non-singleton). I have only played a couple of games, but I found it to be surprisingly good. The only issue, is, of course, that sometimes it ends up sitting in your hand for the whole game, essentially a dead card (although in a pickle it can be a vanilla 4/6). Thoughts?

Yeah its pretty bad unless you cut down to only a few duplicates. You mostly want reno against the aggressive decks and if you have a bunch of dupes he wont be active in time to matter.

If you did cut down like that it that would mean you are losing out on a lot of consistency on a deck type thats already not top tier.

Theres a small window for a classic renomage style deck with a couple duplicates.
I think i saw someone good streaming something like that. Could be mistaken.
Its probably just worse than regular renomage, but wont be horrendous.

Does tempo mage have enough card draw to make it consistent? Are they running more draw than 2 arc intellects? I know Hotforms list a few seasons back had acolyte

I was playing Reno mage right now and a funny thing happened to me:

i got 1 health and ice block popped, use reno jackson and no heal!! wtf?
i thought for a while and realized i discovered a forgotten torch in the carbalist tome and used it twice causing a double roaring torch in the deck

dont play reno while distracted lol

I imagine you'd get this situation all too often in a tempo mage teched with reno.

OP would literally be better off running a pair of yeti's

Happens to me once after discovering torch from Kabal. Didn't think about it and chose it.
