the only time i ever felt like I was getitng a callous while lifting w gloves was doing pull ups and its because my skin was pinched.
after re-adjusting my hands I iddnt have as much of a problem.
i can see them hindering forearm gains.. sort of like alifting belt would do to your lower back.

I still prob prefer to use them though.. esp since our weightroom at work is 45 degrees F right now.
just touching the bars w my bare hands makes my entire hand and forearm go numb.
