I basically want to see if there'd be interest in something like this. Here's the basic idea:

Where: Discord!
Cost to enter: 11FG
Why 11?: 1 goes to me, 10 goes to the pot!
Prize: 60%/30%/10% split of the pot for 1st/2nd/3rd respectively.
Example of how the prize works:

Say we have 20 entrants. The total of the pot would be 200 (220 - 20 [20 being the 1FG per participant going to me for hosting efforts])

60% of that 200 (120) would go to 1st
30% of that 200 (60) would go to 2nd
10% of that 200 (20) would go to 3rd

Rules: I want some feedback for this, but...

1* Best of 3 sets, you may select 4 decks before the set to use.
If you lose a round, you're allowed to switch decks, or stay on the deck you previously used.
If you win a round, you're locked into staying the deck you previously used.

2* Best of Three. Select 3 decks before the set.
Once you lose with a deck, you may not play with that class again
If you win a round, you're locked into staying the deck you previously used.

Also, thoughts on finals being 3/5?

There'll be more details to iron out, but this is the jist of it. Let me know what you guys think.

Why would I (or anyone) host an event for free? I'm not going to organize, run something, and dedicate time solely on the love of the people.

You wouldn't make anything tbh.

Max you'd get is like 10 ppl ? If even that.

People set up free tournaments all the time. Organizations beg people to join them.
I'm not going to pay you to run a rinky-dink 10fg tournament when I can join others with larger prize pools for free. Especially when you have no track record.

id play ^^ for anything up to 500fg entry (if we can get a dozen people atleast)

I wonder why nobody ever uses your Ruleset 1. It's always either Conquest or Last Hero Standing.

Or why they never have just a Best of X where each player can just pick whatever deck they want from their lineup for every game.
