Opponent is warrior, playing C'thun. I am priest, playing control.

I play entomb on his Ancient Shieldbearer. His C'thun is a 22/22. I do not have a C'thun, and I have not entombed or taken control of a C'thun at any point in the game. However, I have played two C'thun buff cards during the game (thoughtsteal & the 4/3 deathrattle guy). I get the armor bonus when I play the Ancient Shieldbearer, even though I have no C'thun.

Intended? I'm not sure how far reaching C'thun buffs go if he's not in the deck to begin with.

you played cards that buff C'Thun.

it doesn't matter if he's not in your deck, the cards will act as if you buffed him. So if you gave C'Thun +4 atk, the Shieldbearer will work.

That's funny. I guess "wherever it is" includes your collection

Yeah it's intended. I run an evolve midrange shaman deck with veklor but no cthun. cthun is a little too slow for that deck. I use 2 disciples which are strong for the 2 dmg battlecry and prime target for evolution master to follow up, and 1 chosen just to increase conditional probability of having played 2 helpers given veklor has been drawn.

I turn them into two 8's if I'm on the offensive, and I just keep them as 4/6 taunt if I need to survive.
