Yo guys i have only been playing hearthstone casually (maybe a few games a week for a long time) - I started again a couple of weeks ago and been doing arena only, but decided yesterday that i wanted to try out the ranked ladder. I bought some packs from irl money so i could craft reno lock + secret pally. Steam rolled down to rank 5 as i heard many people do, got abit stuck with my decks even though i tweaked them.. just couldnt seem to get past rank 3-4.

Today i then crafted mech mage, (spent the dust i had from packs) on 2x fel reavers and steamrolled in 2.5-3 hours to legend from almost r5, with 75% win rate.

I mean, i know that we are 2/3's into season, and it's alot more competitive when ladder resets, but i really thought it was gonna be harder and take more time to get to legend?

anyways, im really happy with this - a goal completed !!

gz I wish I could play enough to get legend too.. but ranked is so fucking boring

I'm calling bullshit. Mech mage expert Airwaves says you can't even get past rank 10 with it.

I doubt he'd do that with mech mage. Pretty sure that guy is full of shit or got lucky af.

I dont know who airwaves is, but obviously he cant be a mech expert, if he can't get through rank 10 with it can he ;)?

This is my tempo version of mage mech, it favours trading on board not going face, therefore aggressive cards such as Leper Gnome or Micro Machine is cut, Azure drake is shit in my opinion, and dont even get me started on Scientsts / Mirror entity, that is also shit. Tried a few games with antonidas to work with my spareparts, it was way too slow and definitely not worth it.

Only thing i might change about the deck is the owl i guess, i never got to use it much, my deck was so tempo orientated a played it once or twice to silence an enemy shredder i wanted to trade, otherwise the fireballs n frostbolts kinda took care of much taunts i had to remove.

legend does not take time if you know how to play, what takes time is getting good enough to play well enough. Apparently you picked up really fast! Honestly impressed.
