Hi there, I'm hunts and I will be writing my guides for LoE heroic encounters in this thread as the wings are released.

Zinaar:
His class power makes him draw a card and gives you one of several wish cards, each turn. These wish cards cost 0 mana, and are: "discover a creature" "discover a spell" "get 2 wish cards" and "discover a 4 drop" I believe.
For this I used a tempo mage deck that I made specifically for this encounter.

On this boss I just went for an early start, trying to get a man wyrm or flame waker to stick. the wish cards give you an endless supply of spells to work with so you can make very good use of those cards. And the wish cards are also a good way of fixing your mana curve if you don't draw some of the drops you need.

Sun Raider Phaerix:
This one was quite a bit tougher. His rod is 3/8 now, and when you have it you don't gain the invulnerability. He also plays stronger minions, including the 5/5 for 3 that deals 5 damage to face when it dies. For this I went with a priest deck, with the intent of using shadow word pain on the rod.

This is what I ended up using. Some games where you can't draw shadow word pain or something early to deal with his minions you will just have to concede and start over. I was able to shadow word pain the rod, and buff it so that he couldn't easily kill it. He actually ignored it for the most part as well, because it wasn't easy to kill.

The light wells also helped tremendously, as did the lightbomb and justicar. Also if the game goes on for a while and he gets the rod back, you can shrinkmeister+cabal it and yours will be 3/8, otherwise when you get it by killing his yours is 0/5. You want to try and get as strong of a start as you can, with shadow word pain to take the rod, some sort of buff to make it not die easily, and likely a shadow word death to deal with his 5/5 that he seemed to almost always play on turn 3.

Temple Escape
This one was very easy, you just have to survive for 10 turns, the encounters are always the same.

I put as much removal and survival into one deck as I could. The reason I did not put in shield slams was all the minions he plays are 7+hp and 6+ attack, so I figured it would be very difficult to actually kill one with a shield slam. It turned out that between all the armor ups, and removals, surviving the 10 turns wasn't very hard at all.
You just have to watch out for the boulder that comes down on I believe turn 3, that is placed to the right of all your minions, and kills everything to the left of it. But with this deck you're not exactly relying on the board anyway.

Things to mulligen for: BGH, execute, bouncing blade, doomsayer. If you have an execute, you could try looking for something to enable it such as bash or cruel taskmaster. I did not include weapons since it seemed quite pointless to ram my face into 6/7 and 7/7 minions, and there is no face to possibly hit, which also makes it hard to even make use of death's bite.

Silence isn't the same. He still has the card in play.
