I heard a streamer say that people tech in certain cards for decks they use in tournaments, but they didn't go in to detail. Does anyone have examples of this?

When you play on ladder you are expecting to play all kinds of viable decks.
In tournaments there are only a few so you can customize your deck more appropriately to counter them.

Another example would be flare.

You wouldn't necessarily put it in your ladder decks but it may be helpful in tourney.

this is a great example, since its nerf to 2 mana its more of a tourney card and not very ladder viable

Doing a flare to a secret pally deck would feel amazing I would imagine lol.

tech card is basically a card that can help u vs certain heroes.

example= double bgh when u see many handlocks or several big bodies. kezan when u see many freeze mages. harrison when u see many patron warriors.

Ever seen the amaz video where the hunter has 3 secrets and he thoughtsteals a flare? The funniest thing ever.



Pre tgt certain decks were just disgustingly popular in tournament. Basically everyone ran hunter for instance, so slapping harrison jones + healbot into every control deck was viable.

Tournaments narrow down the possibilities of what you might face.
