Been working on this deck the last few nights, trying to buff out the rough spots.

Any words of advice from forum goers?

I seem to win about 50/50 right now. I am rank 16 (Was rank 10 but got sick of playing Zoo/Mech Mage over and over with the same hand development each game)

I run the Owl on the off chance a Priest or someone buffs a huge wall.

Annoy-o-trons to protect me a bit from early game aggro Face Hunters

The rest is basically just mana curve playing off the high cost dragons in my deck.

I like the way Avenge + Noble Sacrifice work together. Most games I can get the pair of them down and guaranteed buff what ever minion I have on the board assuming the other guy doesn't have a large damage spell card ready.

Opinions?

I was thinking about dropping Hammer of Wrath and picking up an 8+ legendary dragon... but I find I have a hard enough time getting the 5s and 6s out since I have so many of them, and I play very board-control oriented with this deck

Problem is that by time you play big minion your to low on hp .. Cause even if you play big dragon it's dead till next turn .. Hungry dragon is awful cause it's dead a card and you loosing tempo cause face hunter rarely has empty board .. I would drop Nobel sac for 2 chows to help you contest with turn 2 juggler etc to
Get you to turn 5-7 you need to curve out better .. Dropping kings for sen'jen or beltcher .. Also you need late game
Draw mechanic such as lay on hands .. I would look at dropping something for that cause your big cards in your deck are not good if in your
Deck .. Also drop avenge for sunfury .. Playing that card on curve
If needed vrs face hunter to
Slow him
Down is very good

I've tried similar decks and it's very fun to play. This deck can be frustrating, but I like it and I don't care either so I will give my feelings. Although an unpopular opinion, I also feel the secrets are very underrated and good here. If you're going to play a secret, which I have found pretty good in this deck as well, Mad Scientist is always good. One of the few cards that doesn't look amazing, but I can pretty much guarantee you'll like if you try. Rend Blackhand is not the best card in the world, but he's very fun because when he does work he REALLY works even when it's just like a Loatheb. Personally, I would never not play him because without him the only thing that differentiates this deck from midrange Shaman which has their own Fire Elemental is Consort which just doesn't flavor it nearly enough for me. The 3 mana 3/5 looks great on paper, but actually I have found it to be just poop. Yeah you can throw shields on it once in a while, but you can do that with anything. Something like Aldor Peacekeeper sacrifices 2 health for cutting attack by usually more than 2, sometimes much more. Deathwing seems like a good card here as he's the most powerful situational dragon and you need to keep at least one in your hand anyway usually. The problem with Dragons has been identified many times, but it rings true every time. There's just no way of protecting yourself and it's extra obvious when playing against a face deck. On that note, it may be helpful to become much more of a zooish deck yourself here. Things like Leper Gnome, Abusive Sergeant, Knife Juggler and Muster for Battle can be just enough to get the value with Avenge, Protector, Coghammer and especially Volcanic and give you an edge. I do like Noble Sacrifice, but I also feel despite the protection it offers it is also the much weaker secret. If you feel you can only fit 1, the +3/2 less situationally good one as it combos with a lot here seems like the clear choice to me. Truesilver Champion is an amazing card in any Paladin deck, but I feel in this deck it is at least worth noting that it has never felt weaker than here. While healing 2 can come in handy once in a while, the 4 mana feels awkward with the rest of the deck and wacking minions with it hurts more than ever. That said, it's normally a great card so it might be good enough even if its not a good fit, I just have my doubts. Blessing of Kings is a card that is just great especially since this meta doesn't have a huge amount of silences, but it may be worth considering Blessing of Might as an alternative as if you use it on a Divine shielded minion you can get a super hard to kill minion with about as much attack much earlier since it costs 3 less mana and this deck is full of divine shields and may need the earlier boost. Kings is a great card too, but it's just always nice if you can get a similar effect for much less mana. Hungry Dragon is ok, but not great for obvious reasons. Granted, there aren't a ton of great things it might be replaced with, but Faerie Dragon is a possibility.

These are just some ideas I have tried and liked, but a lot of people do not like to play so much low cost stuff that I tend to prefer.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll make some tweaks for sure. Going to drop my 2x hungry dragon and 2x noble secrets for 2x chow and 2x faerie and see how that goes.

Should help with the early game. 8 4+ dragons is for sure hurting me.

I'm running the above deck with 2x Faerie Dragons instead of Hungry Dragons, kept both secrets. So far it's doing well. On a 5 game win streak and have have won quite a few games vs Face decks.

Gonna see if I can bring it to rank 10 or better :)

This shouldn't be beating good face decks at all. I don't see how this is possible without poorly piloted/built face decks.

Ps if you're worried about a huge buff minion run equality. It will do the same thing as the owl for the same mana, but has ridiculous synergy with consecration.

Good idea, thank you.

Not sure what to tell you about the deck beating face hunters, but it has a tendency to force them into mid/late game and outlasting them. It's in no way an easy win, and a well Mulled Face Hunter is still going to beat me almost every time... but the deck has a lot of 1 & 2 drops, and synergy with dragons in hand for strong early board presence. If a hunter doesn't get a secret down in the first few rounds I can usually drag him into a long game. Also have a lot of early game divine shields to pop their Explosive Trap, and a good chance of grabbing 1 of 3 weapons to clear out knife jugglers.

Games where I manage to get Avenged + Noble Sacrifice I can really get a nice early buffed Minion. Usually coin into the 2 of them, next turn play a 2 drop or my hero ability, and by the third turn when they've attacked I have a 4/3 or better on the board + the 2/1 Noble summons usually wipes out their 2 drop 3/2.

But yeah, I'm still working on some aspects. It's been performing better than expected, and I have a lot more fun playing it than the typical faceroll Mech Mage or Zoo decks that tend to play themselves and have very little variance from the structured "Play this... then this... then this..." blueprint. Anything that helps me find interest in playing Ranked games is nice :P I've been playing basically only Arena lately because I just couldn't get excited about META decks and how they are so boxed in.

rank 10 with Dragon Pally would be amazing, good luck.
